Do you know these people?

Okay people I have been hasseled enough! "No, I do not know these people, but maybe someday I will."
How about these people? While the kids were at a Birthday party today I took some time to fix something at my house that has really been bugging my family. Now if you guys could just pressure me into changing the family picture out in the halway. It dosen't even have Payton in it, she pretends that she is the teddy bear that Parker is holding. How sad is that?

I am a few weeks behind!

Grandma and Papa Mallory came to visit us on there way to Las Vegas. It was Parker's last tournement, and he was glad that they came to watch him get his medal. I was able to get out of the house by myself and go to the adult stake confrence meeting, while the kids went out and got ice cream with Grandma & Papa, and now everytime we drive by the ice cream place the kids yell that is were Grandma & Papa took us for ice cream Yay! Here are a few pictures, using my new camera so bare with me.

We need good elected officials to fight for us.

Here is an artical from the media center of my congressman, if you want your congressman to oppose this google him/her and write to them. We need to be informed citizens, and let our elected officials know how we feel.
Obama Administration's "Cap and Tax" Proposal: Bishop and Chaffetz Opposed to $3.01 Billion Tax Increase on Utahns
March 26, 2009 4:48 PM
Washington, DC – Data released today by the House Committee on Ways and Means demonstrates that every state in the Union – and every American – will be hit hard by a new and highly regressive “Cap and Trade” tax.
The President’s recently-released budget imposes a $3.01 billion tax on Utahns. On a per capita basis, each Utahn will be hit with $1,115.47 in new taxes on their electricity bill alone. Families will be hit even harder. The data show this new tax will increase the average Utah family’s (3.08 people/household) annual electricity bill by $3,435.65 or by nearly $290 per month. While other energy costs are low as a result of the recession, all energy costs will increase as the Administration increases the velocity of its frontal assault on American energy security.

At a recent congressional hearing on energy consumption, Mr. Howard Gruenspecht, an expert witness from the Energy Information Agency (EIA), a non-partisan federal agency dealing with energy issues, was asked what percent of Americans consume some form of energy. He replied: “All of them.” Further, he was also asked what percent of Americans would be impacted by a cap and trade tax. His answer: “Probably all of them.”

Since everyone in America consumes energy, then everyone in America will suffer the consequences of the Obama Administration’s foolhardy proposal to regulate climate change through so-called “Cap and Trade (Tax)” policies. The Administration’s proposal will not only further cripple the economy, it will impose a crushing energy consumption tax on every man, woman, and child in the United States.

In response to this proposal, Congressman Jason Chaffetz said, “With so many individuals already living on the margins, this massive new tax increase will destroy our hope of recovering from the current recession. The financial security of all Americans will be jeopardized if this tax is enacted. Now is not the time to increase taxes, nor is this the way. Despite the President’s assurances that 95 percent of Americans will not see their taxes increase by one dime, the numbers clearly show his plan will actually increase taxes on 100 percent of Americans.”

Congressman Rob Bishop said, "Cap and Tax would be a tremendous burden on all Utahns, but thankfully it is not the only option we have to reach clean air goals. The Western Caucus will introduce other, better options for Congress that meet clean air goals without raising energy costs for all Americans. There are better ways, and we will fight for them."

Yay! I am so excited!

I went to Provo today and purchased the couch that I have been wanting for almost two years.
(This is a stock photo, but just so you know where the lady is sitting is where I plan to spend all of my free time from now on, if you have any good books let me know I may need to borrow a few to break in my new couch.)

Don't worry about our old couch I am going to give it a good home downstairs, my only problem is how to get it down there before my other couch arrives on the 19th. I wish Jer was here (for more reasons than just the couch.)

To My Dismay

I just had to take down the picture of the kids and Jer off because I would almost cry everytime I logged into my blog. Super cute picture, but I just couldn't handle Parker's eyes all big and sad. So here it is, now it will get burried in my blog pile, and I won't cry so much.

My other problem is I have somehow disabled the right click option on my blog, we could say that I have done this because I am being secure, and I don't want anyone to steal my photos. But alas I have done it by accident, and can't figure out how to undo. So if you like a picture e-mail me and I will send it to you. Sorry I can't figure it out.

My Dad & Crystal

This is Crystal (Nathan & Tonya's little girl) and my Dad playing. I am so thankful that my family takes time to play. I love that my Dad will always take time to get down at the kids level and play with them. I remember when I tagged along on a trip to Megan & Lindsay's state track meet, on the way home my Dad drove all over the dessert in between Price and Green River just so he could get the car close to a train so Parker could see it. The conducter blew his whistle for us and leaned out the window and waved. My Dad is the best! Thanks Dad I love you!

P. S. Crystal is pretty dang cute too!

I am spoiled rotten!

I am so lucky to live where I live. Jer has just started a new job, he will be working in Portland building the largest land rig in the world, after the rig is built it will be taken by barge to the North Slope of Alaska. Brrr! http://www.parkerdrilling.com/newsroom/newsrelease.aspx?id=1174571 He will be working 28 days, and then have 28 days off. I am working part time at a CPA office, but it really turns out to be full time, maybe after tax season I will actually get to work part time. Right now we are just feeling blessed to have jobs. To get to my job I have about a 30 min commute. As I was coming out of work I noticed that my tire was getting a little low. I was in a hurry to go and get Parker and take him to wrestling pactice, so I was just going to take Parker to wrestling practice, and then run home and air up my tire with our air compressor. Well I forgot, and I sat down at wrestling practice and started to watch the kids. My neighbor then came in and told me that my tire was flat and that she had already called her husband to air it up. So he came and aired my tire up, and I took the kids home. We planned for the next morning he would come over and help me take my tire off and I would take the truck to work and get my tire fixed. So I came home and got the kids to bed and was vegging out downstairs, and Parker came and told me that Tom was here. He had already taken my tire off and loaded it on the truck for me. So today I got the kids off to the sitter, which is my nice neighbor, who is also their Primary teacher (I hope she doesn't get sick of them. ) I took the tire to a shop in Ephriam, after work I went to get the tire and it was in the exact same spot. AHHHH. I had to wait for a full hour for them to fix it, that made me really grouchy. So then I came home and was going to put my tire on, but it was snowing and I am a baby so I just left it for tomorrow. I put the kids to bed, and was downsairs folding laundry when Parker came down to tell me that the Bishop was here. He was outside putting my tire on, I am so spoiled!
When we told our neighbors and our ward members that Jer was going to be gone for 28 day at a time, they all jumped to help us. Not just offering to help, but actually jumping in and getting their hands dirty to help us. Thanks to everyone that has helped us, you mean the world to us. The pictures are of Jer and the kids at the airport, the kids were such cry babies! When Jer would drive to work the kids wouldn't even go outside and wave to him, but going to the airport is a little harder. After the airport we went to the Draper Temple open house. Sorry abou the pictures, the kids are getting old enough to tell me to put the camera away. I tried to take more but I had no willing subjects. So this is us on the bus to the Temple.

Why we shouldn't raise oil & gas taxes. Please sign

Obama has made an impression on the O&G industry, well not a good one. It seems there is a Bill he is trying to pass called FY2010, this would add $30 Billion to the Petroleum Industries Tax bills. This means an economy which is in turmoil because of LENDING will further be stressed by the only thing keeping it afloat, and thats on the lip!

Everyone will be affected by this bill, lenders, retailers, operators to Grandma buying lipstick! Yeah the ol trickle down effect! So please sign the petition, I'm just a messenger, its worthy of spreading around this info especially if your working in a petroleum related business.
http://www.loga.la/stop-obama-tax-increase.html

Raising taxes on our natural resources is not the answer. If we want to stimulate the economy we need to drill here in the US. If we over tax our natural resources they will just go somewhere else to drill, and then we won't get any of that revenue. Think about it: China is drilling off the coast of Florida, but we don't get any of the revenue from that, and they are starting to use there own people to drill. We don't see any revenue from that, but we do purchase oil from them. Wait is that correct they drill off the coast of Florida, they don't have to abide by our environmental laws, and then we have to pay them for the resources that our government blocks us from using?

So Profound

What a profound short little paragraph..... "You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." ~~~~~ Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931 - 2005 ~~~~~

The Updated Little Red Hen
The little red hen for today's world:
She called all of her Democrat neighbors together and said, 'If we plant this wheat, we shall have bread to eat. Who will help me plant it?'
'Not I,' said the cow.
'Not I,' said the duck.
'Not I,' said the pig.
'Not I,' said the goose.
'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen, and so she did. The wheat grew very tall and ripened into golden grain.
'Who will help me reap my wheat?' asked the little red hen.
'Not I,' said the duck..
'Out of my classification,' said the pig.
'I'd lose my seniority,' said the cow.
'I'd lose my unemployment compensation,' said the goose.
'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen, and so she did.
At last it came time to bake the bread.
'Who will help me bake the bread?' asked the little red hen.
'That would be overtime for me,' said the cow.
'I'd lose my welfare benefits,' said the duck.
'I'm a dropout and never learned how,' said the pig.
'If I'm to be the only helper, that's discrimination,' said the goose.
'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen.
She baked five loaves and held them up for all of her neighbors to see. They wanted some and, in fact, demanded a share. But the little red hen said, 'No, I shall eat all five loaves.'
'Excess profits!' cried the cow. (Nancy Pelosi)
'Capitalist leech!' screamed the duck. (Barbara Boxer)
'I demand equal rights!' yelled the goose. (Jesse Jackson)
The pig just grunted in disdain. (Ted Kennedy)
And they all painted 'Unfair!' picket signs and marched around and around the little red hen, shouting obscenities.
Then the farmer (Obama) came. He said to the little red hen, 'You must not be so greedy.'
'But I earned the bread,' said the little red hen.
'Exactly,' said Barack the farmer. 'That is what makes our free enterprise system so wonderful. Anyone in the barnyard can earn as much as he wants. But under our modern government regulations, the productive workers must divide the fruits of their labor with those who are lazy and idle.'
And they all lived happily ever after, including the little red hen, who smiled and clucked, 'I am grateful, for now I truly understand.'
But her neighbors became quite disappointed in her. She never again baked bread because she joined the 'party' and got her bread free. And all the Democrats smiled. 'Fairness' had been established.
Individual initiative had died, but nobody noticed; perhaps no one cared...so long as there was free bread that 'the rich' were paying for.
EPILOGUE
Bill Clinton is getting $12 million for his memoirs.
Hillary got $8 million for hers.
That's $20 million for the memories from two people, who for eight years, repeatedly testified, under oath, that they couldn't remember anything.
IS THIS A GREAT BARNYARD OR WHAT?

The first message was sent to me by my SIL Tonya, and the second was sent by my cousin Jessie. Thanks Ladies, I hope people think long and hard about what our government is doing.

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Jer flies out to Louisiana for training and drug testing today, and then it off to Vancouver, WA to build the worlds biggest land drilling rig. Drilling is to start in Alaska in 2010. He is very excited and I am very jealous.
