TMI - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! The Big Squeeze!!! National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

DAD TMI mean Too Much Information!  You may want to skip this one. Sorry there are no pictures, but that is probably a good thing.
Pimples wrapped around my chest up over my shoulder and around to my back.  I couldn't wear clothes. I was pretty sure that I had shingles, I had had had them once in high school, but not open weeping sores.  So I make a make an appointment with my family doctor who really is the nicest lady and feel bad showing her my gross owies. She says yep looks like shingles, but what is that huge lump in your chest, walnut sized.  What??  Oh no!  Tears!!!  Then they schedule me for a sonogram, yep there is a lump, more tears!  Have you ever had shingles?  They cause a lot of tears, and then finding out you have a lump more tears.  So then they ask you a hundred times about your family history and that causes more tears!  Lucky ladies doing the sonogram, did I mention that there was a student there to watch, yay more tears!!!  Did I mention that I just had a hysterectomy?  More tears!!!!  So then the main doctor over the department comes in and tells me that I have to have a Mammogram.  So they do the left side first great I can handle that, now they start on the right side where the shingles are.  The chick doing the mammogram is trying to be so careful and nice, and I am crying and thinking just get this done.  She keeps reminding me to breath and I keep holding my breath and gritting my teeth.  We get the first picture done, and then she goes in for the second,  and I am hanging on for dear life and my shingles are screaming in pain.  And then I wake up on the floor.  With the technician standing over me.  She is crying and trying to get me off the floor.  She just kept saying "You were just hanging there!, You were just hanging there!"
So here is my plug to get a Mammogram, just don't do it when you have shingles.

I have to add I am just fine now, as my super awesome lame ass  yucky Dr Vasquez in Moab told me and I quote "you just have lumpy, bumpy boobs!"  As you can see the bedside manner in Moab is overwhelming!

Where have we been?

My Meathead set up a weight room in the basement.
I kept leaving the garage door open and hummingbirds kept getting caught in our garage.  Jer caught this one.  The next one I tried to catch and sadly I pulled out his tail feathers, so sad!  I will leave the bird catching to Jer.
My sisters Megan and Lindsay helped my Dad design my Moms' headstone.  They did such a good job, and I will be eternally grateful to them.
I am still a little emotional from my hysterectomy so I begged Jer for a puppy.  Now I get up at 5:30 to snuggle my giant cry baby so he doesn't wake my kids, and my neighbors up.  What was I thinking?  He sure is cute though!  PS Jer is pretty cute too.
After two years Jer got his braces off.  Most people didn't even know he had braces!  So why did we pay $$$$ to get his smile fixed????  He sure is cute isn't he!
Went shopping in Cedar and found some treasures.  Aren't my kiddos cute!
Hungry Hippos on the front porch, always = party.
Kynlee found the perfect Halloween costume.

We sure live in a beautiful area, but there is nowhere like home.  I miss La Sal, and all of the people!
Miss Payton and Ox, he is a big cry baby
Jeremy grilled us yummy food.

My nephew Alex came to my house for some play dates!  Until his parents rudely moved him to Denver, so sad I miss them.
My nice Kynlee also came over for play dates!  We love having her because she eats everything!  She loves to hug the doggies and read stories.
We did so much more, but I don't ever remember to take pictures.

The House of Many Colors

Sometimes you find the perfect house in the perfect place.  But since nothing is perfect you soon find that the paint in the house in not your style.  Let me just show you the colors that cover the walls of our nearly perfect house.
This is Parker's room, can I just say how much he loves the pink and green, and especially the cutsie fan.

This is Payton's room, notice the cutsie fan.  She is actually a fan of her fan ;)
This is the color of the living room, it is an open concept house and it is open to the kitchen and dining room.  I like the color, but it doesn't transition to the dining room, kitchen and hallways well.
This is the hallway to the kids room, yep you are seeing that right, it is sea foam green.  (Actually the paint can in the garage says "Mystical Sea" I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.)
Check out the transition sagey green to sea foam, can I just say the lines aren't even straight.  :(
And here is our lovely breakfast nook, that we are going to use as a dining room.  It really is creamsicle orange!
This is our lovely kitchen, I love it! and the yellow walls they make me happy.
This is the dining room that we will be using as a homework/craft room.
And why yes that is black crackle on the wall, aren't you jealous?
and the chair rail is crazy high, the person who put it in must have been a giant.
Here is the prettiest grey in our master bedroom

And then you look up, and oh no why? Oh Why?
I do have to admit that our master bath is an nice light brown.

Katie named this the help you go room.  If you don't have to really go once you go in this room, you soon will!
Nothing like dolphin wall paper in landlocked Cedar City.
Really it is so bright.
Let's go downstairs!  It can't be any worse downstairs can it??
I was wrong, so very wrong.  This is the basement bathroom, and it is dark, Dark, DARK Green.  Nothing like a dark green bathroom in a basement.
So Wrong!
So very wrong on every wall!
This is the guest room and it is a lively blue.  Good luck falling asleep in here people.
This is the other guest room and the room where Parker is staying until I get his up stairs room put together.  It really is a nice green and looks so nice with the ceiling fan.
Parker's Cowboy room with Red, Brown and Tan walls
So here is Parker's room, I am now painting it colors that I love and that someone else will shake their head at and say "Why?"
Okay if you made it this far, I am all for advice for our new house.  What would you do about the open concept?  Is it okay to have straight line transitions?  What color would you paint the dining room?  Have you ever painted over black crackle?  How did that go?  Have you ever painted over dark green?  What color primer do you use?
